Mennonite Village chaplains seek to supplement and support the ministry of local churches and ministers, and to encourage the spiritual life of each resident, regardless of his or her religious affiliation or beliefs. Good Shepherd volunteers are trained and supervised by our chaplains and are also available for visits with our residents.
Rev. Tim Weible
Chaplain Tim moved to Oregon from the Bay Area of California where he spent seven years as a Chaplain in a hospice program. Prior to that, Tim spent 24 years in ministry as a missionary in Japan and pastoring a church in Oahu. In his role as Chaplain at Mennonite Village Tim said he strives to meet the diverse needs of the residents and staff. “It is my deepest hope to be able to serve well as Chaplain while learning, respecting, and nurturing the diverse faith perspectives of the Mennonite Village, including those of us who are not part of a particular religious tradition.”
