Mennonite Village organizes this free, public event on our campus to bring attention to the issues that affect older adults. Our theme is “Working Together for Strong, Healthy, and Supportive Communities,” which speaks to the opportunities we have to create better care, reinforce healthier lifestyles, and improve overall quality of life.
The day’s events are free of charge and open to all. Shuttle buses will transport guests from our parking area to Lakeside Center throughout the event. |

| Wellness Walk |

The Wellness Walk—generously sponsored by Samaritan Health Services—is the first event of Older Americans Day. It's an opportunity to walk at your own pace on one of two courses: a casual stroll along a paved path around the lake, or a two-mile trek on groomed trails and paths around the perimeter of the Village. Every participant will receive an event t-shirt (while supplies last).

The founder, Bob Moore, recently unveiled a program that will give his 209 employees full ownership of the $70 million business. The company produces and markets a line of more than 400 whole-grain flours, cereals, and bread mixes. At 81, Bob’s quite a character with a very interesting life story of faith and perseverance. |
